Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data AbhyasHub (abhyashub.com) collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what choices you have. It covers our website and the AbhyasHub management portal. We do not sell your data to anyone.
1. Who we are and who decides about your data
AbhyasHub is a software service for libraries and reading rooms. We currently operate as an unregistered business under the name AbhyasHub. You can reach us at team@abhyashub.com.
For student data, the library or reading room owner who uses AbhyasHub decides which student details are collected and why. We store and process that data on the owner's behalf so the service can run. For data about library owners, their staff and visitors to our website, we decide how it is used.
2. What data we collect
- Library owners and staff: name, email, phone number, library and branch details, login details, and subscription records.
- Students (entered by the library): name, contact details, shift and seat details, membership dates, and fee and payment records that the library chooses to log.
- Demo requests: name, library name, email, WhatsApp number and your message.
- Website visitors: pages viewed, the website you came from, campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source), time of visit, and basic device and browser information.
- System logs: technical records we need to keep the platform stable, fast and secure.
3. How we use your information
- Real-time seat tracking, allocation and availability.
- Managing branches, reading rooms, memberships and subscription plans.
- Processing student registrations and keeping membership records.
- Sending notifications (see section 4) and answering support and demo requests.
- Keeping the platform secure, fixing problems and improving the service.
- Understanding how our website is used so we can improve it.
4. Consent & Communication
By registering with AbhyasHub, you give express consent to receive automated notifications by WhatsApp (Meta Business API) and email. These include operational alerts such as subscription expiry reminders, seat updates, payment confirmations and library announcements. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time by writing to team@abhyashub.com. Operational alerts are needed to keep your library account working.
Library owners are responsible for telling their students that these messages will be sent and for having the students' consent to receive them.
5. How long we keep your data
- Student data is kept while the library's subscription with us is active.
- It is deleted 3 months after the library's subscription ends, or 3 months after the student leaves that library, whichever applies.
- Other data is kept only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, or as long as the law requires.
6. Where data is stored and how we protect it
Our servers are in a data center in India. We use reasonable security safeguards, including access controls and encrypted connections, to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss or misuse.
If a personal data breach affects you, we will inform the affected library owners and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
7. Sharing and third-party services
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the service, and only as much as they need to do their job. These include our hosting provider, WhatsApp (Meta) and email or SMS delivery services, Google Analytics for website statistics, and any payment provider used for subscription payments. We may also share data when the law requires it.
Library owners can see the data of their own students and staff, but not the data of other libraries.
Google Analytics may process website visit data outside India. Payment providers and other third parties have their own privacy policies. Once you leave our website for a third-party service, this policy no longer applies.
8. Cookies & analytics
AbhyasHub uses secure cookies to keep you signed in to the portal and to remember your dashboard preferences. On our website we use Google Analytics and our own visit log to count visits and see which pages are used and where visitors come from. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the portal may not work properly without its sign-in cookies.
9. Students under 18
Many students are under 18. A library owner must get the consent of a parent or legal guardian before adding a student under 18 to the platform. We do not sell data of anyone, including children, and we do not use it for advertising.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child's data was added without your consent, write to us and we will look into it.
10. Your rights
- Ask what personal data we hold about you and get a summary of it.
- Ask us to correct or complete your data, or to delete it.
- Withdraw consent you have given (this may mean we can no longer provide some features).
- Name another person to exercise these rights for you if you die or cannot act for yourself.
- Make a complaint, and if we do not resolve it, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Students should first contact their library, since the library decides what is collected. You can also write to us at team@abhyashub.com from the email address registered with us, and we will help the library handle your request.
11. Grievances and privacy requests
For any privacy question, request or complaint, email team@abhyashub.com with the subject "Privacy request". We will acknowledge your message and respond within the time the law allows.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. For important changes we will also tell library owners by email or on the portal.
